for our learning presentation, we took a look at the topic of asynchronous vs synchronous learning and the best method to combine the for maximum student engagement and success.

in this presentation, we broke the down topic into 4 separate parts:

  • a distributed and open inquiry question
  •  the relationship of our topic to teaching and learning
  • the pros, cons, and risks of both asynchronous and synchronous learning
  • strategies, best practices, and tips for combining synchronous and asynchronous learning for student success

for my part, i took a look at the asynchronous learning side of things, well my partner tackled its counterpart, synchronous learning. here i discuss my initial findings, the pros, cons, and the risks of asynchronous learning. whereas my partner does the same for synchronous learning, as well as finishing off the discussion with the best strategies, practices, and tips for combining synchronous and asynchronous learning.
